Maternity Leave

Hello dear friends

I will be on maternity leave from 20th May 2017 until 4th September 2017.

Telephonic appointments can be arranged during or after this period of leave and payments will be managed via Paypal invoicing or BACS.

And obviously, appointments can be booked in advance through this period of leave ready for my return to work in September. Although allowances may have to be made for me to manage work and baby.

To book an appointment or to find more information, you can call me on 01364 388752 (leave a message if I am not available to take your call and I will get back to you as soon as possible) or text me on 07801 512869.

All the best

Happy New Year

Wishing you all the best for 2017.

The sliding scale pricing system is now in place and I hope it will be helpful to many of you would have wanted to seek professional nutrition advice but were stopped by the price of consultations.

From now on You are what you eat allows you to decide and pay what you feel comfortable with on a sliding scale from £15 to £45 for an initial consultation which last an hour, and from £5 to £35 for any subsequent follow up consultations of half an hour.

For more information or to book your appointment, contact Corinne at the Haven Health Clinic on 01364 654954 or email me at corinne.c.cole@gmail.com

I look forward to helping you celebrate your health this year.

Sliding scale for price

Hello everyone.
Ever heard of sliding scale pricing. A client mentioned it to me yesterday and I think it’s a fantastic idea. I had not heard of it before but I believe it could be the way to make nutritional therapy accessible to a lot more people, the answer to my prayers.
How does it work? Instead of asking for a fixed price per session, I would offer a range such as sliding scale between £15 and £45 for the initial consultation (typically one hour long) and sliding scale between £5 and £35 for further sessions (typically half hour long). Clients can relate to their own situation and pay what they are comfortable is suitable for my service and/or what they are happy they can afford within the offered range.
What do you think? Is that something you would be glad of? Would you like to be offered the opportunity of nutritional help this way?
I will be glad to help. Get in touch if you need more information or to book your appointment.

Nutrition at the price of a haircut

I have a dream that our health matters enough for us to want to learn how to feel better; to seek help and advice to find ways to use our food to combat illness.

But most of the time, although we aspire to use alternative medicine, it is often very expensive.

Now I would say the cost of a haircut for a lady is very expensive and I’m probably looking at a £25 bottom of the range treat. This is because, although I like my hair to look as healthy as the rest of me, I resent paying that much for a simple haircut. To me the way my hair makes me look doesn’t deserve as much attention as the way I feel (and I understand that sometime a haircut can make you feel better).

I don’t believe a hairdresser need to research anything before I come to my appointment. But as a nutritionist, I like to keep up to date on medical issues, as well as  researching details to make a treatment appropriate to you. On your appointment, I aim to gather as much relevant information as possible, so your treatment is made just for you.

So in an effort to help more people I am reducing my prices to £25 for an initial consultation which lasts an hour, and £15 for each further session of half an hour. This will not diminish my abilities or my level of service. But I firmly believe that anyone can learn how to use food towards better health and this should not be limited by the cost.

Even though people will always differ in their priorities, I can’t begin to imagine the number of things I wouldn’t be able to do if I lost my health, no matter how high these things might have been on my list of priorities. So maybe our health should come first any way, any day.

Take good care of yourself

We can Skype

Hello everyone

It is now possible to make long distance appointment. Telephonic appointment have always been an option but it is difficult to advise someone I have never met or seen before.

So to help with this difficulty, You are what you eat is now registered on Skype. Appointment can be made in the normal way but you will be able to stay wherever you are and as a reminder for your appointment you will be invoiced the day before via Paypal. You will not need to have an account with Paypal as they also accept card payments, but you will need to provide me with your email address and Skype contact on making your appointment.

It is always better to meet face to face for your appointments but on those occasions when it is too complicated, it will be very good for me to still be accessible to help you. I hope you will feel that way too, and look forward to hearing from you.
